Name and title: Prof. Jia-Yue Yang

Overview: Dr. Jia-Yue Yang received his B.S. degree in Microelectronics from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) with Professor Jinxiang Wang and completed his PhD degree from HIT with Professor Linhua Liu. After that, he joined the group of Professor Ming Hu at RWTH Aachen University as a postdoctoral fellow. Now Dr. Yang works as a professor and Qilu Young Scholar in Shandong University. Prof. Yang’s research interests focus on micro-/nano-scale heat transfer and top-down materials design for new energy.

Research Interests:

(1) High-Temperature Thermophysical Properties: First-Principles Simulations and Ellipsometry Measurement

(2) Micro-/Nano-scale Heat Transfer (Phonon-Phonon Scattering, Electron-Phonon Interaction and External Magnetic Modulation) Basic Theory Development

(3) High-Performance Energy Materials (Photovoltaics and Thermoelectrics) Structure Prediction and Design

(4) Thermal Transport in Lithium Battery and Solar Cells
